Significant Investments in Local Infrastructure, Talent and Partnerships Position Versos as a Bridge to Chinese Content for Leading AI Companies

As AI models become increasingly video-driven, demand for high-quality, rights-cleared content is growing rapidly.
For companies building the next generation of AI, trusted relationships with studios, broadcasters, and rights holders will be essential to procure the data that will train emerging AI models. Against that backdrop, Versos AI is expanding its presence in China, one of the world's most influential creative markets and a global leader in film, television, digital media, and micro-drama production.
Significant investments to deepen Versos AI’s presence in China include adding Shanghai-based actress and martial arts expert Svitlana Zavialova to its team, forming new partnerships across China's micro-drama sector, launching an official WeChat presence, and unveiling new branding that features original calligraphy by Chinese artist Dennis Luk.
China's creative industries combine deep expertise in storytelling and production with some of the world's fastest-moving content formats. For Versos, the market represents an opportunity to build long-term partnerships across a media ecosystem that is helping shape the future of global video.
Strengthening Local Leadership
At the center of this next phase is Svitlana Zavialova, who joins Versos in a cultural strategy and market development role.
Based in Shanghai, Svitlana has spent much of her career working across China's film, television, theatre, and media industries. Her experience spans Chinese-language theatre and screen work, cross-border production collaborations, and advisory work supporting international companies entering China's film, media, and entertainment sectors.
She is also the founder of Wu Woman, an internationally toured performance brand that blends Chinese martial arts, Chinese opera training, and contemporary storytelling. Trained in both Chinese opera and Wushu, and fluent in Mandarin, English, Ukrainian, and Russian, Svitlana brings deep experience navigating China's creative industries and working across international markets.
In her role, she will support the Versos AI’s work across Chinese film, television, and media partners, helping develop relationships with studios, buyers, collaborators, cultural institutions, and the broader entertainment community. She will also advise the company on partnerships, communications, and engagement with China's creative industries.
Building With China’s Creative Industries
Versos is already working with several Chinese studios that are producing high-quality micro-drama content.
Micro-drama has emerged as one of the fastest-growing formats in global short-form video, with China widely recognized as the category's leading market. By partnering directly with Chinese studios, Versos is engaging with production teams operating at the forefront of a format that is reshaping audience engagement and content consumption.
These relationships align closely with the company's broader mission of connecting high-quality video content with growing demand for AI training data. As models become more capable and increasingly multimodal, access to professionally produced, licensable content will become increasingly valuable.
A Collaboration with Chinese Calligrapher Dennis Luk
To reflect its growing local presence, Versos unveiled new branding in China developed by the recognized contemporary Chinese calligrapher, Dennis Luk.
The collaboration brings a distinct artistic element to the company's presence in China while highlighting the work of a respected local artist.
More broadly, it reflects Versos' approach to building relationships with creators and creative communities as it expands in the market.
Launching Versos AI on WeChat
Versos AI is launching an official WeChat presence, creating a dedicated channel for Chinese-market storytelling, partner announcements, and creator community engagement.
WeChat is where much of China's media, entertainment, and creative industries communicate and conduct business. Establishing an official presence on the platform reflects the company’s commitment to engaging with partners, creators, and audiences on the platforms they already use every day.
The channel will serve as a hub for ongoing communication with studios, creators, media partners, and cultural stakeholders as the company continues to expand its presence in China.
Building Long-Term Partnerships in a Defining Creative Market
China is home to some of the world's most innovative creators, studios, and media companies. As AI models become increasingly dependent on high-quality video content, relationships with those creative communities will play an important role in shaping the future of the industry.
Through partnerships with Chinese media companies, micro-drama studios, creators, and cultural institutions, Versos is building long-term relationships in one of the world's most important creative markets.
China's creators, studios, and media companies are already helping define what comes next. We're excited to be part of that journey.
